Christmas Wreath Bread

La Saucy Salsa Christmas Wreath Bread

This is a great sharing dish for the festive season, and it looks fabulous but is actually really easy to bring together! The base is made with pizza dough, with La Saucy Salsa Parsley as a filling to turn it into a gorgeous garlic bread, and then you can get creative adding your favourite charcuterie, cheese, olives and other nibbles, for the ultimate sharing board.

Ingredients

Ready-made pizza dough

3 tbsp La Saucy Salsa Parsley

Black pepper

Parmesan

To decorate (feel free to swap in your favourites):

Milano salami

Mozzarella pearls

Green olives

Fresh rosemary

Toothpicks to shape the salami roses (optional)

Serves 4-6

Start by rolling out the pizza dough into a long rectangle, and spread the La Saucy Salsa Parsley on top, leaving a clear border of about 1.5cm around the edges. Sprinkle parmesan and a little ground black pepper over the La Saucy Salsa Parsley.

Starting from one of the long sides, roll the rectangle up into a long thin sausage. Use a sharp knife to cut the sausage in half lengthways, stopping a few centimetres from the end. Then, starting from this end, twist the two sides together, trying to keep the cut edges on top to make the final wreath look pretty. Shape into a circle and pinch the edges together.

Gently transfer the bread to your prepared baking tray, reshape a little if necessary, and then pop in the preheated oven for 22 minutes or until the bread is just turning golden brown.

Allow the bread to cool a little, and then decorate with your extra nibbles – you can fold the salami into flowers and secure to the bread with toothpicks, and then just arrange the mozzarella, olives and rosemary until you’re happy with the way it looks. Serve with a few glasses of fes
